Hope is the thing with feathers

Hope is like a lighthouse in the midst of the stormy sea. However the dark and deep the night is, hope never lets us lose a heart. It always inspires us to sail on. Hope is like rays of dawn which fades all darkness and glorify everything.

Here in this poem, bird is being described as a metaphor of hope. This hope bird resides in everyone. And it signs the song of divinity in the time of strain and stress. In troubles and hassles, hope never lets us lay down. Hope gives courage to rise again.

It’s really a hopeful poem:

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

~ Emily Dickinson

The commentary of the poem:

Hope is a bird with feathers; alights in the soul. It rests on the branch of the soul. It signs a tune without words and never stops at all. It always signs melody. It refrains deity. Hope bird sings forever and fills heart with inspiration.

Storm is painful and aching. When wind blows wildly; we here a busting sound. In such windy storm hope’s tune seems to be very sweet. Such bad weather can embarrass it. But hope bird is more warm and energetic in awful atmosphere. However the adversity mortifies, it stays unaffected and tweets sweetly.

Land may be chillest and sea may be strangest. Calamity may reach at extreme; but hope never asks for anything in return. Circumstance may be hard and harsh, difficulty may be tight and tough; but hope bird accords. It always gives new aspirations.
