Who is happy ?

Image
THE bird wishes it were a cloud. The cloud wishes it were a bird. ~ Stray Birds We think of what is not, and don't think of what is. Being happy for what we are and what we have is true wisdom. I am happy for what I am and what I have. I am perfect, whole and complete. I am original and unique. I am divine. Feel good for own self. Feel blessed, happy and esteemed. A short story about it. A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, “and I am so black. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.” He expressed his thoughts to the swan. “Actually,” the swan replied, “I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.” The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, “I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multi

A dialogue with God

Image
Once a man looked at sky and asked, "Oh God, please talk to me." Then a bulbul bird sang a beautiful song. But a man could not hear it !! Then again he looked at sky and whispered, "Oh God, I want to listen your voice!" At the same time thunder stroked in clouds with long rumbling sound and lightning. But the lost man did not get it !!   He was amazed for ignorance of God ! At that dark night when no one was nearby, he said, "Oh god, I want to see you ! Please give me your glance !" At the same time one star twinkled with sparking shine. But that man could not perceive it !! Now he was about to cry. He said, "Oh God, I do not understand that why are you ignoring me ? At least show me your miracle today !" At the same time labour pain started to his wife. Immediately he brought her to the hospital. After some time he was gifted with a cute little child with beautiful eyes. But alas ! That man was still not able to understand anything !! Now he

Put on shoes !

One day, a young King decided to visit the local townspeople. He rarely went outside of the palace grounds, but he did enjoy meeting the people that came to visit him. He also enjoyed being barefoot. He loved to stroll through his scenic gardens and green lawns, enjoying the feel of the well-tended earth beneath his feet.   The day was beautiful, so, with his court accompanying him, the King began walking towards the nearest town. The road was hard and barren, with wheel ruts, and sharp pebbles in the street, and while the townspeople were thrilled to see their King, the poor King was in terrible discomfort the entire time.   After returning to his palace, the King examined his feet. They were blistered and bruised from the day's walk. He had never been in so much pain.   He didn't want this to dampen his spirits, though. He had enjoyed his visit with the local people, and he wanted to see them more often, but he couldn't bare the thought of spending another day

Colored toys

Image
When I bring to you colored toys, my child,   I understand why there is such a play of colors on clouds, on water,   and why flowers are painted in tints when I give colored toys to you, my child.   When I sing to make you dance   I truly know why there is music in leaves,   and why waves send their chorus of voices to the heart of the listening earth when I sing to make you dance.   When I bring sweet things to your greedy hands   I know why there is honey in the cup of the flowers   and why fruits are secretly filled with sweet juice   when I bring sweet things to your greedy hands.   When I kiss your face to make you smile, my darling,   I surely understand what pleasure streams from the sky in morning light,   and what delight that is that is which the summer breeze brings to my body   when I kiss you to make you smile.   By Rabindranath Tagore

An attitude

Image
As I think and grow, I understand the impact of an attitude in life. An attitude is more important than reality. It is more valuable than education or money, success or failure, skills or appearance & what others say or act. An attitude is higher than everything. It can make or break. It can create or destroy. Ultimately it plays a vital role in building a life. Remarkable thing is that we are the in-charge of our attitude and we have a choice to have it positive or negative. We can’t avoid the inevitable, but we can do one thing that is to play with an attitude. Who can play with own attitude is the master of self. So if we want to master the self then we must learn how to master an attitude. The man with a mastery of an attidue can overcome any obstacle and rule over any circumstance that falls in life. “Mastering others is strength, but mastering self is true power.” Lao Tzu "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." ~ Winston Churchill &

Let me not pray

Image
Prayer! The bridge between human beings and God. It reflects the state of mind. It reflects our attitude towards life. Mostly the prayer is filled with demands, selfishness, helplessness, and fear. Either we are regretful of the past or worried about the future. And we pray to God to be saved from dangers. We miss the right understanding that how can we connect with God.   One of the great philosopher, Rev. Spinoza, he stated once: we must cultivate the intellectual love towards God. When we try to develop it and pray, the prayer would be different. And it inspires all to develop in such away.    Feeling incapable and begging the help is not the real prayer. Infirmity creates timidity. So let’s get developed and be strong. Here is a holy prayer by Rabindranath Tagore. It gives a rightful attitude towards life.   Rabindranath Tagore has a real poetic spiritual heart. He doesn’t beg God. He prays to be fearless in facing dangers and heart to conquer struggles. Being puny is pitiful

Attitude determines altitude

Image
It is wisely said that "Attitude determines altitude." It is very interesting to know that what winners say and what losers say. After all what we say reflects our attitude. Think and decide what category I belong to. And If anyone find that he needs to change ... then change what we think and say and be a winner. It is too simple to act.  The Winner is always part of the answer; The Loser is always part of the problem.  The Winner always has a program; The Loser always has an excuse. The Winner says, “Let me do it for you”; The Loser says, “That is not my job.” The Winner sees an answer for every problem; The Loser sees a problem for every answer. The Winner says, “It may be difficult but it is possible”; The Loser says, “It may be possible but it is too difficult.” When a Winner makes a mistake, he says, “I was wrong”; When a Loser makes a mistake, he says, “It wasn't my fault.” A Winner makes commitments; A Loser makes pr
