The life heroic

Heroes! In any field! We watch them, listen to them, follow them. We call them the top influencers of the age. We try to think and act like them. And we hardly give attention to losers. Even we ignore them.

Our definition of success is the man with all possessions. We think that the man is successful when he is highly educated, having a high post, having a bang in banking, having a big bungalow and a luxury car, and so on.

Let us try to go deep into this. It may be possible that who is having all these, lost his mental balance, or damaged his physical health, or degraded in family values, or descended in spiritual values. They may have compromised many other aspects of life in achieving worldly articles and artifacts.

Aren't we find it necessary to think over it? It is very difficult to decide success or failure. What seems to be a success, maybe outer glitter only. What seems to be a failure, maybe an inner ecstasy.

In the right sense, success or failure doesn’t matter. What matters is: what I become from inside in the process of life. Life is a game and I am a player. Life is a school and I am a learner. We meet success and failures, but how do I meet them, defines what really I am!

Wisdom is directly proportional to learning. When I learn from it, it upgrades me. The man who faced as many failures and successes, and every time he learned from it, he is the most prudent man. THE more I learn, the more wisdom is! How do I look at it and how do I accept it, changes everything.

Here is a small poem about it. It’s about the process of life. It’s about learning about life. This poem makes us realize that learning values are greater than success or failure. We run after the success and may ignore what we are being from inside. We stumble in struggles and tumble in trifles, and may miss the introspection and learning.

So here is the core lesson: In failure, when I hold valor, faith, gratitude, hope, and zeal in my heart, I am a real hero of life. By building a positive attitude and living a spirited life, I conquer my destiny.

Here it goes :

I like the man who faces what he must,

With step triumphant and a heart of cheer;

Who fights the daily battle without fear;

Sees his hopes fail, yet keeps unfaltering trust

That God is God; that somehow true and just,

His plans work out for mortals. Not a tear

Is shed when fortune, which the world holds dear,

Falls from his grasp. Better with love a crust

Than living in dishonor; envies not,

Nor loses faith in man, but does his best,

Nor ever murmurs at his humbler lot,

But with a smile and words of hope gives zest

To every toiler. He alone is great

Who by a life heroic conquers fate.

~ Author Unknown

A gist of the poem :

I like the man who faces what is required to face in life. I like the man who does not escape, who does not run away. Who has an undaunted and undefeated spirit in mind and cheer in the heart. Who is brave in fighting in daily challenges and struggles.

When we try; we may fail. Hopes may be frail. Dreams may wane. Yet who does not lose faith in God? He knows well that God is great. God is true and just. God has a purpose and plan for everyone and everything. They always work for all humans.

He doesn’t whine when destiny turns his wheel. He doesn’t whimper when he endures achieving an ambition, which is being loved and adored by all, it falls from his hands. But he loves the result even if it is only the crust. As it is better than dishonor and disgrace self.

Others may have achieved, for what he was trying. But he neither envies nor loses faith in self. He knows well; I can try again. He prepares and does his best. He does not murmur for what is left with him. It may be low or negligible but he is grateful for having it.

And with a happy smile and hopeful words gives zeal to every fellow friend like him. Even if he is alone, he is great; he conquers fate by living such a heroic life. We can conquest destiny not by having materials, but by cultivating such attitude and qualities within.

**********

In failure, when I hold gratitude, love, hope, faith, and courage, I am a victor!

Good thoughts and qualities are the real pearls of wisdom. He is the real hero who tries to nurture a vibrant attitude and triumphs to live a spirited life. Values have greater importance than worldly success. This is the essence of life.
