Turn problems into opportunities

Image
“Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.” ~ Napoleon Hill When we face a difficulty, what is our immediate reaction? Either we blame something or someone, we complain about it or we run away from the situation. “Why did this happen to me? What am I going to do now ?” Are we uttering sentences like these? This response is most natural. And lets us be the helpless victim of it.    One foremost thing I depict many times is: Am I a victim? Or, Am I a master? Realize that I have a freedom. I have a choice. I can either wallow in misery and dwell on the negative aspects of situation or I can find the benefit of the lesson that the problem is offering. Don’t be ruled by circumstances, but rule over them. Be the master of self, not the victim. There is always a flip side of the difficulty. What seems to be a problem is often not a problem at all. It may actually an opportunity. Try to make the benefit out of it. Firstly it looks like a trag

The cobbler's boots

Image
Once upon a time, there was a cobbler who was very busy. He lived in a large village and was the only cobbler in town, so he was responsible for repairing the boots of everybody else. However, he didn’t have time to repair his own boots. This wasn’t a problem at first, but over time, his boots began to deteriorate and fall apart. While he worked feverishly on the boots of everyone else, his feet got blisters and he started to limp. His customers started to worry about him, but he reassured them that everything was OK. However, after a few years, the cobbler’s feet were so injured that he could no longer work and no-one’s boots got repaired. As a consequence, soon the entire town started to limp in pain, all because the cobbler never took the time to repair his own boots. I wrote this to illustrate a simple principle that is so often disregarded. If I don’t look after own self, after a while I’ll be no good to anyone else either. My best intentions will mean n

An optimist

Image
An optimist knows the sun shines, above the clouds, though the gray; A pessimist sees a dark side of a gloomy cold winter’s day. An optimist says, “Keep on going; don’t give up when troubles annoy.” A pessimist thinks “What’s the use, life’s dull and holds little joy.” An optimist is always thankful, for the blessings of each day. A pessimist keeps complaining of the things that come his way. An optimist and the pessimist, are opposites to the extreme; While one sees opportunities, another only a broken dream. Are you an optimist or a pessimist ?, Do you see mud not the stars ?; Like the two men in prison, Looking out through prison bars. Choose to become an optimist, The negative thoughts cast out; Replace them with positive ones, Then life will be better, no doubt. ~ Vivien Wade ***** An optimist is the human personification of spring. And a pessimist is the human personification of autumn. Optimism is light and pessimism is darkness. Let

Laziness is the crooked enemy and an endeavour is the intimate friend of a man. Because efforts never let a man die. When we work with faith, anything is possible. Even we can make a way in great odds. Faithful work can make a way in gigantic difficulties.   In life all days are not same. Difficulties and dangers are inevitable. No one can escape from them. When we fell in the clutch of circumstance; we afraid, we complain, we escape. We search for any one who can save us. We wonder everywhere ! But alas ! None comes to help. Even close friends, whom we relied most, turn their face. In such grim and gloom, who doesn’t leave, is faith. Faith in self and faith in God, have power to shake anything. And God has gifted us an ability to put efforts. Triumph is the greatest blessi
