God, make me brave for life

“Brave” thy name is faithful. Fearlessness is a core quality for development. One who is fearful hinders growth. At each and every step he feels stuck. He lists out only threats of the situation. And by counting negatives, he gets outclassed. So being valiant on the life-front is essential for progress.

The unique way to be valorous is to be faithful. Unfaltering source of faith is the concept of Indwelling God in Indian Vedic Culture. Fallacious and blind beliefs are always misleading. Deceptive understanding makes us baseless. Truthful understanding makes us aware.  

God is with me, within me. He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. He is just and righteous. He is loving and takes care of me. Joy and woe whatever he gifts with is a divine love letter. Joy is to energize and woe is to strengthen.

No doubt in this understanding cultivates faith. And as a result, I become gallant. So it’s in my hand to be heroic. Being lionhearted is a result of faith in self and faith in God. In a true sense, divine faith is a precious wealth of life.

A few affirmations to give self to develop such understanding:

God exists surely.
God is with me, within me.
God is mine.
God knows all.
God is always true and just.  
God is loving and caring.
God is always ahead of me.  

A courageous poem to inspire self. It’s a wonderful prayer to God. With God’s grace, I can become manly:

God, make me brave for life: oh, braver than this.
Let me straighten after pain, as a tree straightens after the rain,
Shining and lovely again.
God, make me brave for life; much braver than this.
As the blown grass lifts, let me rise
From sorrow with quiet eyes,
Knowing Thy way is wise.
God, make me brave, life brings
Such blinding things.
Help me to keep my sight;
Help me to see aright
That out of dark comes light.

Turn fortune, turn thy wheel

पूर्वजन्मकॄतं कर्म तद् दैवमिति कथ्यते | तस्मात् पुरूषकारेण यत्नं कुर्यादतन्द्रित: || पूर्व जन्म मे किया हुवा अच्छा या बुरा कर्म जब फल देता है, इस जन्म मैं उसे दैव कहते है। इसलिए इन्सान को चाहिए इस जन्म में समय ना गवाते हुए अच्छे कर्म करे।   We may afraid of destiny. We may feel that what is prescribed in destiny is going to happen. We read the daily horoscope. We pay high to astrologers. We wear stones and rings and what not! We feel secure in that.  We feel that we are the puppets of someone else’s hand. He makes us dance according to his will. We feel helpless against that. We threaten and bow down to cruel bludgeonings of chance. According to me, this is all due to a lack of prudent knowledge. Vedic concepts are indifferent to what we used to believe. Human life and the world are being driven by the laws of the universe. Life is a game, play it. Life is a puzzle, solve it. Life is a mystery, unfold it. How wise words these are! All the days are not the same. They vary. Up and down, to and fro are but natural. It’s like a roller coaster ride. It threatens sometimes. We may lose head and heart due to the variance.   In such an imbalance, how do we balance is the major point. In the midst of the conflict, in the midst of hardship, in the midst of the storm, how do we think and live, that carries the major attention. In the struggle, we may get disturbed. Negativity and distortion may drag us down. But the truth is: it’s a process, the process of development. No struggle can bring us down, but our own mind can. So it’s an opportunity to build a positive mind. So in the scuffle, instead of getting down, awake and arise. Build the mind with positive thoughts and emotions.
