On the seashore

“GOD waits for man to regain his childhood in wisdom.” ~ Stray Birds We all are running after the success. Sometimes it seems running after an illusion. The quest is endless. For things we run after, are they really making us happy in life? Let us peep in the society. The men with all worldly success, are they really happy by heart? May be or may not be. It’s probability. Things can give us comfort but not eternal happiness. We may think that this is the right time to gather the things. More we have; more comfortable the life would be in later years. But can I assure that I will be alive tomorrow? Life is uncertain and things are fragile. I am working hard for frail things actually. It doesn’t mean that we don’t have to work hard. But craving for things makes us cry. I need to learn: how to enjoy in now? And how to enjoy in little things of life? If we miss pleasure in present; how will I enjoy in future? Work for dreams with vision of future; but with a heart in...

Footprints

Gratitude is a divine attitude. Being grateful out of love is the springtime. When we fill our minds and heart with it, we feel blessed. Positivity is being flourished. The important thing is that we may feel blessed in good times, but when we feel blessed in difficult times, it reflects a real positive attitude.   Here is a small inspiring poem about God’s love. We may feel harder to move on in times of difficulties. In the hour of grief and pain, we may be shaken and complain. Here is a man who dreamed and saw himself walking at the seashore.  He complained to God, “In my good times, there were two sets of footprints, but in the struggle when I needed most, you left. There was only one set of a footprint.”  God replied wonderfully with love, “My precious child! That one set of a footprint is not yours, it’s mine. I carried you in your upsetting times.”  We may feel niggled in distressing moments. But God is always with us. We are the children of God...

Psalm of life

At every stage of age, life seems different. It is truly said that life is full of mystery, unfold it. We all are travellers and life's a journey. It gives all kind of experience and learning. But we may pass it in eat, drink and be merry. We don’t tend to think beyond it. We live as all live, mere a monotonous life. Once socrates said, “I would be a dissatisfied Socrates than to be a satisfied pig.” We all are fallen in typical usual life. Nothing new, nothing special, nothing different, nothing ambitious. Just passing life. In childhood, I studied one rhyme, “ Solomon Grundy, Born on a Monday, Christened on Tuesday, Married on Wednesday, Took ill on Thursday, Grew worse on Friday, Died on Saturday, Buried on Sunday, That was the end, Of Solomon Grundy. It describes our tenure of life. Main is, when we live a life in a unique way. If inner fire is cold, the man is not alive. Let us try to ignite the inner fire. Let us think in distinctive way. Let us under...

Attitude of gratitude

“When we change the way we look at things, things we look at change.” ~ Wayne Dyre Gratitude is an ingredient that turns lack into more than enough, sorrow into happiness and defeat into victory. If we want to create a more happy and fulfilled life, if we want to have an abundance on every level of life, the way is to feel blessed for whatever we have. I personally realized three points that changed my state of mind from complaint to gratitude. (1) I could have more than I have, but what if I could have less than I have. (2) If I am not grateful now, when will I be? One who thinks I will be happy after having something, it’s an illusion. (3) One who is in lack can be fulfilled but one who always feels lack can’t be fulfilled. Being grateful in the now is requisite. One does so is happy everywhere. Happy and abundant is he, who is deeply grateful by heart. In a real sense, gratitude is an attitude. Here are a few inspiring words for developing grati...

Learn to wait

Image
Wait. The most important learning in life. It’s a wise saying: Jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, no jam today. When we aim high, when we yen something, when we struggle hard, when we pour all, and as a result when we don’t get anything, what would be the situation of mind. Anyone can lose heart, lose hope and give up. It's natural. In such distressing moments, God wants us to learn the importance of waiting. Longing is the most difficult situation for a man. When a man loses faith, none can help him. So in the hankering situation, be calm. Keep faith and hope in mind. Never let them go down. Initially, when we saw a seed we care a lot. We pour water, give fertilizer, spread medicines, we do everything for it to grow. But if we lose hope and give up a halfway, we won’t get fruits out of it. So the way is: have hope and keep on putting efforts. If we see with a positive eye, there is a joy hidden in every condition. Man must learn how to find it. We can enjoy di...

Who is happy ?

THE bird wishes it were a cloud. The cloud wishes it were a bird. ~ Stray Birds We think of what is not, and don't think of what is. Being happy for what we are and what we have is true wisdom. I am happy for what I am and what I have. I am perfect, whole and complete. I am original and unique. I am divine. Feel good for own self. Feel blessed, happy and esteemed. A short story about it. A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, “and I am so black. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.” He expressed his thoughts to the swan. “Actually,” the swan replied, “I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.” The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, “I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multi...
