Character of a happy man

Image
Happiness is the at most quality in human life. We endeavor whole life to pursue it. Strange thing is that people sought it in different things. Yet for centuries the standing question in front of mankind is: where is happiness ? Mostly we search for it outside. Spiritual leaders and philosophers have quested a lot and enlightened the mankind. And the answer is: ultimate happiness resides within us all. It is in our perception, in the way of thinking and living. When we process milk we get butter. Same is the case with happiness. When we look within, change within, process within, we get it. When thoughts are sublimed, feelings and experiences are changed. If we have all and yet not happy; need to think over it. Ultimate goal of life and all endeavor can be the happiness only. We must process and develop it within. And one who has developed it, how he acts and how he behaves ? It is very interesting and amusing to know the character of a happy man. Here is a small easy poem

Posthumous roses

Image
Each year he sent her roses and the note would always say, "I love you even more this year, than last year on this day. My love for you will always grow, with every passing year.” She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear. She thought, he ordered roses in advance before this day. Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away. He always liked to do things early, way before the time. Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine. She trimmed the stems and placed them in a very special vase. Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face. She would sit for hours, In her husband’s favorite chair. While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there. A year went by, and it was to live without her mate. With loneliness and solitude, that had become her fate. Then, the very hour, the doorbell rang, and there were roses sitting by her door. She brought the roses in and then just looked at them in shock. T

She introduced Anna to the class and told that she will be studying with them only from today. Then the teacher told the students to be ready for the surprise test now! The art of marriage

The little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon. It should continue through all the years. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family. It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or the wife to have wings of an angel. It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humor. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each ot

What is maturity ?

Image
Maturity is not measured by an age, it’s an attitude, built by knowledge and experience. Maturity is when we discuss about ideas, get illumined and being a candle instead of beefing about people and being a fish tank. Maturity is when we learn to focus on a positive instead of a negative. Maturity is when we stop trying to change others, instead focus on changing own self. Maturity is when we accept people as they are. Maturity is when we understand everyone is right in their own perspective. Maturity is when we learn to "let go". Maturity is when we are able to drop "expectations" from a relationship and give for the sake of giving. Maturity is when we feel good and respect own self and others. Maturity is when we learn to be fully present in now. Maturity is when we complain less and fill our heart with gratitude for what we have. Maturity is when we think more and worry less. Maturity is when we do

Thank you God for everything !

There was a bird, which lived in the desert, very sick, no feathers, nothing to eat and drink no shelter to live and kept on cursing his life day and night. One day an Angel was crossing from that desert, bird stopped the Angel and inquired “where are you going?" Angel replied “I am going to meet God". So bird asked angel ' please ask God when my suffering will come to an end?' Angel said “sure, I will and bid a goodbye to bird. Angel reached God's place and shared the message of bird to Him. Angel told Him how pathetic the condition of bird is and inquired when the suffering of the bird will go to end? God replied ' for the next seven life times the bird has to suffer like this, no happiness till then'. Angel said when bird will hear this he will get disheartened could you suggest any solution for this. God replied tell him to recite this mantra “Thank you God for everything”. Angel met the bird again and delivered the message of Go

Waiting

Image
Patience is not only an ability to wait; but being steady, calm and serene while waiting out of faith. It’s about to withstand with equanimity. In an hour of waiting, we babble against time and fate. It’s nothing but one kind of complaining. We prattle or bloviate; but instead of it we can believe; my shall come to me. Though Burroughs was burdened by many problems and responsibilities at the time, thought the outlook for the future was anything but promising, he did not “rave against time or fate.” He did not become bitter, impatient, resentful. He looked within himself and found his own tranquility. In the midst of turmoil and uncertainty he was able to write, “Serene, I fold my hands and wait.” We reap what we have sown. It is inevitable. We can not avoid it. Fruits will be ripen and meet me at right time and in the right space. It is assured to come. As a brook springs and sprints in the rain; it draws and flows certainly. In this disquieting times, “Waiting” ha
